Final Thoughts About "The Juvie Three"

I would like to start my blog by stating that "A millionaire, a deputy police chief, and the entire department of juvenile corrections may be able to control your life. But none of them can prevent a lightning strike."
This is the final line in my book and I believe that it is a very powerful quote. Although you may have many problems with family, friends, or just life itself, it's okay, everything will work out in the end.
Through all the conflicts that my characters (Gecko, Terence, and Arjay) have faced, everything worked out in the end. Throughout the novel, my characters are faced with a "Do or Die" situation.(Except without the die part) They must attend school, group therapy, and community service all the while hiding the fact that the group leader of their experimental halfway house is in the hospital with severe memory loss. He cannot remember who he is or anything of his past. This is a result of a fall off of a fire escape after a struggle with Gecko, Terence and Arjay.
As if there was not enough problems for the boys to deal with, they also have Ms. Vaughn from social services who near the end of the novel calls to make an appointment to check up on the boys on Wednesday. This gives the boys six days to break Mr. Healy out of a Psychiatric Ward in the Bronx. After breaking Healy out with the help of Roxanne, (a girl who Gecko met while visiting Healy in the hospital.) The boys and Mr. Healy return to the apartment. After numerous attempts to help Healy get his memory back, it is actually the sound of stepping on the fire escape that brings it back. After a huge brawl in the apartment with DeAndre and his crew (A guy who Terence wanted to "work" for) Gecko, Terence, and Arjay do not get arrested and now have everything back to normal.

All in all I really like this book. It is a thrilling read full of crime, love, suspense, determination, and a fight for freedom from three boys who are younger than us. I am happy everything worked out in the end. I enjoyed how the escape from the Psych. Ward is stretched out for the last four or five chapters. This book has made me open my mind to the world of literature and makes me want to continue reading.
